Gissoo is a User Experience Designer at the Center for Digital Humanities (CDH) at Princeton University, and has recently also started working withthe Office of Information Technology and the Ida B. Wells Just Data Lab at the university. She is interested in creating frameworks for efficient workflows, humanistic search engines, and rethinking the education system.
Dr. Donovan is the Research Director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy. She leads the field in examining internet and technology studies, online extremism, media manipulation, and disinformation campaigns. Dr. Donovan also heads the Technology and Social Change Project (TaSC), which explores how media manipulation is a means to control public conversation, derail democracy, and disrupt society.
Professor Colangelo is an artist, educator, and researcher based in Toronto, Canada. He is a founding member of Public Visualization Studio. His work focuses on urban media environments as sites for critical and creative engagements with the city, public art, and information. He is Assistant Professor of Digital Creation and Communication in the School of Professional Communication (FCAD) at Ryerson University.
Erika is a queer, mixed race, anti-imperialist, japanese, fluid-femme movement facilitator, artist, creature, & polydimensional humxn. As an (occasional) design strategist, they co-create experiences with people and teams whose work is rooted in building and nurturing transformative spaces and worlds. Erika has collaborated with Creative Reaction Lab, the Design Justice Network, Black Womxn Flourish, and the Consentful Tech Project.
Nick is a product creator interested in elevating the human condition. He most recently published De-Escalating Social Media, a design proposal to make social media a kinder place, and Spaces, a concept piece for a new approach to organizing digital experiences built around core human needs. Nick has a background in education, social media, new mediums and news.
Casey writes Platformer, a publication about big tech and democracy. Previously on The Verge, Casey served as the Silicon Valley Editor, reporting on the people and products shaping the future of technology and culture.
